About Me

Welcome to my food and travel Blog!

I am Cathy Mason McCosham; a lover of all things’ coffee, bacon, and salted caramel. I grew up in a family with simple, southern, country roots from Owenton, Kentucky. I cherish the special days spent at our family farm for long summer visits, holiday meals and reunions with my grannie, granmama, grandaddy, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings.

Ever since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, I remember my granmama Perkins’ table and how it was always full…not only with food but also friendship, humor, and love. No one ever left her table unsatisfied or hungry. Anyone that had the pleasure of eating at her table can fondly remember her kind voice echoing from one person to the next, genuinely asking; “What else do you need? Can I get you more potatoes, gravy or chicken? There is plenty more to share. Don’t be bashful. C’mon, what else do you need?”

I credit my innate passion and inspiration for food, cooking, and adventure to my granmama. She truly loved life and making people happy through her work and creativity in the kitchen. So, it is probably no big surprise that I am a “Foodie” practically by osmosis. I have always been drawn to projects and occupations that either work directly with making food or support the food industry. This has led me to become an avid follower of global food trends, recipes and product merchandising. Through my blog, I will share many stories about our humble family traditions, delicious recipes, food market and restaurant recommendations from around the globe, along with my personal travel tips and adventures. My stories will be generously sprinkled with friendship, humor, and love.  What Else Do You Need?
